After the group stage, Hai Duong had 2 male players Doan Ba Tuan Anh and Nguyen Duc Tuan enter the quarter-finals, 4 female players had to stop at the National Table Tennis Tournament for Excellent Players.
After more than 3 days of qualifying matches (from the evening of December 3-5), in the women's singles event, 4 female tennis players from Hai Duong including: Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Kim Ngan, Cao Ngoc Ha and Bui Ngoc Lan had to stop at the 2024 National Table Tennis Tournament for Excellent Players.
The female tennis players who made it to the quarterfinals include: Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh, Mai Hoang My Trang, Nguyen Bach Thanh Thu of Ho Chi Minh City; Vu Hoai Thanh, Lam Thu Cuc of the Army and Nguyen Thi Nga of Hanoi.
In the men's singles, Hai Duong has 2/6 players entering the quarterfinals. According to the draw, Doan Ba Tuan Anh of Hai Duong will meet Do Tuan Kiet of Hanoi. Nguyen Duc Tuan will meet Vu Manh Huy of T&T Police.
The remaining 4 male tennis players from Hai Duong, including Nguyen Van Dat, Bui Huu Huy, Nguyen Duy Phong and Nguyen Vu Hoang Nam, had to regretfully say goodbye to the tournament.
The quarter-final matches will take place on the morning of December 6 at Hai Duong Provincial Sports Gymnasium.
