On the night of October 29, after overcoming Tien Giang, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, the Hai Duong men's team continued to have an important victory over very strong players from Hanoi in the semi-finals including Nguyen Anh Tu, Nguyen Van Huan and Do Tuan Kiet.

At the next table, in the second semi-final, the boys of the Army also excelled in overcoming the strong players of the T&T People's Police to reach the final match with Hai Duong.

Entering the men's team final as the defending champions in this event, coach Cao Anh Tuan launched his strongest lineup including two SEA Games champions in men's singles, men's team Nguyen Duc Tuan, Doan Ba ​​Tuan Anh and the reigning Southeast Asian youth champion Nguyen Duy Phong.

The main player Nguyen Duc Tuan was placed first against Nguyen Hoang Lam and easily secured a 3-1 victory. Meanwhile, in the women's team event, the girls from Hai Duong did not compete successfully, especially when the main player Bui Ngoc Lan was still injured. The gold medal in this event belonged to the players from Ho Chi Minh City.

From October 30 to November 1, the National Table Tennis Tournament for Strong Teams will move on to the next events including singles and doubles. On November 2 and 3, the finals of these events will take place.

The 2024 National Table Tennis Tournament for Strong Teams is taking place in Dong Nai province, gathering 26 strong teams such as Hanoi, Army, T&T People's Police, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong... competing in 7 events: men's team, women's team, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's singles and women's singles. This is a tournament with very high professional quality and competition, second only to the tournament for strong players and the national championship.
