According to the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department, by March 31, 100% of gas stations in the province had issued electronic invoices for each sale.
Hai Duong currently has 237/237 gas stations that have issued invoices for each sale.
By the morning of April 3, most gas stations had been equipped with electronic fuel pumps, ensuring the requirement to connect data on the pump to the computer to issue electronic invoices according to regulations. However, there were still 3 gas stations that were not fully equipped with technological features to automatically issue invoices and had to issue them manually.
The reason is that these retail petrol stations have not received timely investment and renovation from businesses. Most of the petrol stations are using old, outdated pumps, even placed on river buoys, under the management of small-scale enterprises and households. Meanwhile, investing in changing the pump system, machinery, equipment, and human resources requires quite a large cost.
The Provincial Tax Department has coordinated with electronic invoice service providers to guide and support petroleum businesses and retailers to issue electronic invoices after each sale according to regulations. At the same time, it has coordinated with higher-level tax authorities and related units to build and complete the information technology system for electronic invoices to ensure that the tax authorities' reception and connection of electronic invoice information is smooth and convenient.
Hai Duong province's tax authorities have established inspection teams to issue electronic invoices for each sale of petroleum business and retail activities. As a result, in the first quarter of 2024, the tax authorities discovered and issued administrative sanctions against 29 petroleum business units and organizations, with a total fine of VND 325 million.
