Adding 4 national digital platforms to serve Vietnam's digital transformation

According to the second list of national digital platforms newly issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications, there are 4 additional platforms including: Electronic invoices, digital social insurance, digital seaports and digital border gates.

Thus, the total number of national digital platform portfolio platforms serving digital transformation, digital government development, digital economy, and digital society includes 38 platforms. Of which, 21 platforms are managed by state agencies, developed by Vietnamese enterprises, mastering core technology, used uniformly nationwide, serving state management activities or providing public services for society. 17 platforms are managed by enterprises, mastering core technology, providing services to serve the needs of agencies, enterprises, and society.

The electronic tax platform provides a unified, transparent, in-depth, and professional tax management tool based on risk management methods, promoting the application of information technology, simplifying administrative procedures, and reducing compliance costs for people and businesses.

The digital social insurance platform establishes a communication channel and facilitates social insurance and health insurance participants to access information and perform public services in the most convenient, easy, and quick way, gradually replacing paper social insurance books and health insurance cards.

The digital seaport platform converts all operations of a seaport into a digital environment, helping to improve the efficiency of seaport operations. On this platform, processes and time for import-export enterprises are reduced; management and supervision of state agencies are enhanced; information channels are created to connect state agencies with port enterprises, shipping lines, transport enterprises, import-export enterprises, etc., which are automated. The platform ensures publicity, transparency, administrative reform, and better serves enterprises participating in import-export, thereby contributing to the development of the digital seaport economy.

As a platform providing a comprehensive and comprehensive management tool for activities at border gates, the digital border gate platform automates processes, reduces time for import-export enterprises; strengthens management and supervision of state agencies, creates an information channel connecting state agencies with import-export enterprises, transport enterprises, enterprises providing wharf services at border gates, etc. Accordingly, the platform also ensures publicity, transparency, administrative reform, creates favorable conditions and shortens customs clearance time for goods through border gates, contributing to the development of digital border gate economy.
