According to the Ministry of Public Security, one of the main causes of this situation is determined to come from users' awareness. Cyber attacks tend to focus mainly on people instead of machines and equipment.

Faced with this situation, the Ministry of Public Security and the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) recommend three basic skills to ensure personal information security.

First of all, limit sharing your personal information online, unless you are sure that the information will be used in a controlled manner. People need to ensure that they only provide personal information to individuals and organizations they trust.

People use strong passwords to protect their online accounts. Passwords should be longer than 8 characters and include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters; passwords should be changed regularly and the same password should not be used for multiple accounts.

People need to proactively learn about information security methods, update the latest news about security threats and learn how to prevent them; use security tools such as anti-virus software and anti-theft software to protect their online accounts.
