Hai Duong Provincial Military Command proactively responds to disasters and natural disasters

To proactively respond to disasters, natural disasters and search and rescue, the Provincial Military Command requested units of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 3 stationed in Hai Duong province to closely coordinate with the Military Commands of districts, towns and cities to develop plans, conduct field reconnaissance, and assess key points in disaster response work and natural disasters to develop response scenarios for appropriate situations. Units and localities prepare well human resources, materials, logistics, techniques, etc. to be ready to respond when situations arise.

The Provincial Military Command will advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct districts, towns and cities to organize drills on natural disaster prevention and search and rescue (1 commune, ward or town per locality). Organize training alarms, mobilize forces and means to participate in natural disaster prevention and search and rescue, and prevent disasters according to plan, ensuring that when an incident occurs, there will be no passivity or surprise.

In 2023, the provincial armed forces coordinated with military units, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police), forest rangers, the Forest Management Board (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), local Party committees and authorities and agencies and units to mobilize more than 500 people to participate in overcoming 7 incidents of heavy rain, factory fires, house fires, forest fires, etc.
