Speaking at the closing ceremony, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assessed that the 2023 National Press Festival had left many good impressions in the hearts of journalists and the press public nationwide.
In the context of globalization and deep international integration; the strong development of science and technology; the rapid movement of the world; the practice of innovation and dynamic development of the country, the Vietnamese revolutionary press is facing the requirement to continue to arouse more strongly the aspiration for a prosperous and thriving Vietnam.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested that each press product must be imbued with humanity, imbued with national cultural values, have great influence, create consensus in the whole society, deeply reflect the great innovation reality of the country, promote the good values of culture, country and Vietnamese people, contributing to enhancing the overall national strength.

“The team of journalists must be steadfast in political and ideological qualities; increasingly modern, professional and internationally integrated. The press system needs to further promote its role as a sharp communication tool of the Party, State and people, and at the same time an effective means of social supervision and criticism,” said Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
Faced with the explosion of information technology, online platforms, and social networks, press agencies cannot stand outside the digital transformation trend.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested that the press must move towards a method of producing and providing multimedia, multi-platform, multi-device information, diversifying markets and diversifying revenue sources.
“Press agencies must unite into a unified force with strong influence, playing the role of the main flow of information, orienting public opinion in cyberspace. Each press product must ensure aesthetic and educational factors, promote humanity, and become a model in communication and cultural behavior in the community, especially in cyberspace and the digital environment,” Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Vietnam Journalists Association, the common home of the press nationwide, to take the lead in training and building political capacity for journalists and members, while creating a cultural space in journalism activities, thereby helping to "correct" "deviations" in professional ethics, multiplying humanistic values in journalism activities. The Association needs to have more activities and contributions to the modernization of journalism, first of all, the digital transformation, how to make the digital transformation of journalism truly "permeate" and have a positive impact on each press agency and each journalist.
