Party Newspaper is creative and effective in promoting investment and business attraction.

On the morning of October 18, at the Bac Giang Provincial Convention Center, Bac Giang Newspaper hosted the 29th conference of Party newspapers of Northern provinces and cities in 2024 with the theme: "Local Party newspapers promote improvement of the investment and business environment, promoting economic growth".

Attending the workshop were a number of leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association, a number of central press agencies, representatives of leaders and reporters of 25 Party newspapers in the northern provinces and cities, and a number of Party newspapers in the central and southern regions.

In her welcoming speech, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Council Lam Thi Huong Thanh expressed her joy and excitement to welcome delegates from Party newspaper agencies to attend the 29th Conference of Party Newspapers of Northern Provinces and Cities in 2024 hosted by Bac Giang Newspaper.

Investment attraction is identified as a lever for the country's socio-economic development. Many topics and articles in the Party newspaper in general and the Party newspapers of the Northern provinces and cities in particular have analyzed in depth, highlighted the potentials and strengths, and reflected the "transformation" of localities on the path of investment attraction and economic development.

Emphasizing that the theme of the 29th conference is highly topical, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Council hopes that through the conference, local press agencies will discuss and contribute to improving the quality of propaganda work in general and investment attraction in particular.

Speaking at the workshop, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi acknowledged that journalists have recently devoted much enthusiasm, effort, dynamism, creativity, and invested in propaganda about investment attraction and economic growth.

To promote and further improve the quality and efficiency of attracting and using foreign investment capital, the Politburo, the Government and the Prime Minister have issued many resolutions and decisions to perfect institutions and policies, issue strategies and plans to implement foreign investment cooperation strategies, improve the investment and business environment, and enhance national competitiveness.

In line with the spirit of the resolutions, Party press agencies in the Northern localities have had many creative and effective ways of promoting investment attraction, actively contributing to improving the investment environment and attracting businesses.

At the workshop, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi also emphasized that Party press agencies need to promote digital transformation, political and professional training for journalists, focusing on training, innovation, and application of new journalism technology.

Speaking at the workshop, Editor-in-Chief of Bac Giang Newspaper Trinh Van Anh emphasized that improving the investment and business environment is one of the key tasks of the entire political system, and is the leading important solution to mobilize resources, promote investment attraction, develop production and business, and promote economic growth of the country and localities.

In the implementation process, besides the participation of the entire political system, propaganda work plays a very important role.

The 25 northern provinces and cities account for more than 40% of the country's population, and are an area of ​​extremely important geographical location, including two centrally-run cities (Hanoi and Hai Phong), two socio-economic regions: the Northern Midlands and Mountains, and the Red River Delta.

According to the assessment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the first half of 2024, although there were certain difficulties, under the direction of the Central Government and the efforts of localities, the socio-economic situation of the provinces and cities in the Northern region had many positive changes, maintaining a good growth momentum, making an important contribution to the overall growth of the whole country.

Press agencies in general and local Party newspapers in particular have played a good role in bringing the Party's policies, the State's policies and those of local Party committees and authorities on improving the investment and business environment into life.

Timely promote lessons, new factors, civilized behavior of functional agencies, cadres and civil servants when performing tasks related to people, businesses, investors; new solutions in the fields of land, environment, customs, tax, administrative reform; and the removal of difficulties and obstacles in implementing investment projects.

Analyze and reflect on shortcomings, limitations, and bottlenecks that hinder general development, including the task of improving the business investment environment such as regional connectivity, investment in infrastructure development, especially transport infrastructure, improving the business investment environment, improving provincial competitiveness, administrative reform, and improving labor quality.

However, objectively speaking, improving the business investment environment is a big task, involving many levels and many sectors; the implementation process still has difficulties, obstacles, and bottlenecks that need to be resolved; administrative procedures and the business investment environment still have certain limitations.

One of the reasons is that the content and form of communication about improving the investment and business environment of press agencies in general and local Party newspapers in particular are still limited, and the content and form are not rich and attractive.

The 29th Conference on Party Newspapers of Northern Provinces and Cities in 2024 is an opportunity to analyze and evaluate the role and position of local Party newspapers; the advantages and limitations in promoting the improvement of the investment and business environment, especially the application of modern journalism technology in the context of the 4.0 revolution and the strong digital transformation of journalism.

Evaluate new points, creative and effective ways of organizing content, structuring specialized pages, columns, campaigns and routes to propagate tasks directly related to improving the investment and business environment.

At the workshop, representatives of the newspapers: Hanoi Moi, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Son La... discussed and exchanged many issues in propaganda about solutions to remove difficulties and bottlenecks in improving the investment and business environment, and the issue of attracting large investors.

At this workshop, Hai Duong Newspaper discussed the connection to promote the dissemination of the value of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex. In recent times, the three provinces of Bac Giang, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong have made efforts to coordinate with relevant agencies to complete the dossier submitted to UNESCO to propose the recognition of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex as a world heritage.

Clearly identifying the great value when the relic complex is recognized as a world cultural heritage, in recent times, this complex has been enhanced by the press agencies of the Central and localities, especially the Party newspapers of the 3 provinces, in coordination with sectors and localities to inform and promote with focus and key points in publications and has created an impression, spreading the value of the relic, the implementation roadmap towards nomination as a world cultural heritage.

The presentation emphasized the effectiveness of new ways of doing information and propaganda work. Bac Giang, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong newspapers can form propaganda tasks such as sending reporters to experience tourism at all the relics and scenic spots in the complex to produce videos and podcasts, then post them on the platforms of all three newspapers.

It is necessary to increase the depth and multi-dimensionality of journalistic works. There should be works that are linked and coordinated between the three provinces of Bac Giang, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong. Form a column on the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son and Kiep Bac Complex with synchronization and unity in all three newspapers on the electronic newspaper interface. Translate works into many languages.

In particular, there is a need for in-depth analytical works on the issue of attracting investment and promoting regional linkages in the development of the "3-province tourism route".

After Bac Giang Newspaper, Hanoi Moi Newspaper will be the host of the 30th Northern Provincial and City Party Newspaper Conference in 2025.
