The Party newspaper system proactively protects the Party's ideological foundation.

Comrades: Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication chaired the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh said that since Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation" was issued, press agencies in the Party newspaper system have participated very actively and effectively, in many diverse forms and creative ways.

Special pages, columns, and articles on protecting the Party's ideological foundation are maintained regularly. There are many excellent works that have a profound impact on cadres, Party members, and the masses, strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the country's path to socialism.

Party press agencies also play an important role in orienting public opinion, spreading and enhancing positive information in the daily news flow, and promptly reflecting the people's thoughts, aspirations and legitimate recommendations, contributing to strengthening the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Party and the people and the great national unity bloc.

However, reality is posing many difficulties and challenges for Party press agencies in carrying out the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints. Especially, when our country integrates more and more deeply into the international community, along with the explosion of information on the internet and social networks, it creates conditions for hostile forces and erroneous viewpoints to take advantage of cyberspace to communicate and sabotage the Party's ideological foundation.

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association asked the delegates to focus on discussing, proposing orientations, tasks, solutions, and recommendations to the Party, the State, management agencies, and Party press agencies to continue to effectively implement Resolution 35-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo and the Party's guidelines and policies on developing the country's revolutionary press in the coming time.

At the workshop, leaders of many agencies and newspapers exchanged analysis and clarified the theoretical and practical basis of the Party newspaper system in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints..Evaluate the advantages, limitations and analyze the causes, thereby clarifying the issues raised. Propose orientations, solutions and recommendations to promote the role and improve the effectiveness of the Party newspaper system's participation in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints...

Speaking at the workshop, journalist Nguyen Hung Chuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hai Duong Newspaper, said that Hai Duong Newspaper determined that strengthening propaganda to protect the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation is an important content to build a propaganda program on publications and social networking platforms.

Hai Duong Newspaper persistently implements the propaganda motto of "taking the good, eliminating the bad", spending a lot of time on information about the Party and State's policies and guidelines; the results of the implementation of the country's political tasks, of the Party Committee, the government and the people of Hai Duong province; and advanced models. At the same time, the newspaper frankly reflects negative issues in society, including signs of degradation in political ideology, lifestyle ethics, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" among cadres and Party members; actively propagating the work of preventing corruption and negativity...

Hai Duong Newspaper has established a column called “Protecting the Party’s ideological foundation” which is placed permanently on page 7 of the printed newspaper; Hai Duong Electronic Newspaper has a Perspectives section which is of interest to many people.
Hai Duong Electronic Newspaper has developed strongly following the trend of multimedia and multi-platform, reaching more readers. The newspaper has built and developed Fanpage, Zalo, Youtube, Tiktok... to carry out the tasks of fighting and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Journalist Nguyen Hung Chuong emphasized some experiences of Hai Duong Newspaper in protecting the Party's ideological foundation such as imbuing the Party's guiding viewpoints, especially in the field of political and ideological work, thereby reflecting on the practical situation to propose appropriate propaganda plans.
