Local Party newspapers contribute significantly to the propaganda of building advanced new rural communes.

Attending the workshop were Central delegates, leaders and reporters from 25 Party newspapers of northern provinces and cities, Party newspapers of some central and southern provinces and the Central Highlands region.

In her opening speech at the workshop, Comrade Hoang Thi Nhung, Editor-in-Chief of Vinh Phuc Newspaper, emphasized that building new rural areas is an important national target program of the Party in the spirit of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the 10th Party Central Committee dated August 5, 2008 on agriculture, farmers and rural areas. To concretize the Resolution, the program was built with a set of specific criteria, with goals and steps for each stage clearly defined, scientifically, and closely following the practical situation. For the first time, the issue of agriculture, farmers and rural areas has been given special attention in order to comprehensively change the face of the countryside, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of material and spiritual life for farmers in the period of international integration, industrialization and modernization of the country. The implementation in localities nationwide shows the strong response and consensus of all classes of people, the participation of the entire political system, all cadres, party members and each person in rural areas, initially giving very encouraging results.

After more than 12 years of implementation, the new rural construction movement has achieved great and comprehensive results. The rural areas of our country have had clear changes in almost all areas, promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, improving the lives of farmers, and making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the whole country.

The recent development of agriculture and rural areas is the result of the leadership, direction and management efforts of Party committees and authorities from the provincial to the grassroots levels. At the same time, it demonstrates the solidarity, unanimity, consensus and determination of the entire political system and all classes of people. In particular, there is an important role of press agencies in general and local Party press agencies in particular. On the journey of building new rural areas, Party press agencies have played a good role in pioneering the implementation of the Party's guidelines, State and local policies so that the new rural construction program can come into life. Thereby promoting effectiveness and efficiency, at the same time, strongly encouraging all levels, sectors, mass organizations, business communities and people to join hands and unite in building new rural areas. Party press agencies have promptly reflected and provided people nationwide with a vivid, panoramic view in many fields and localities with profound, meaningful articles and positive, widespread influence.

However, looking at it objectively, the results of the new rural construction program are not uniform, some criteria are difficult to maintain, including environmental criteria, increasing people's income... Among the many reasons leading to this situation, there are causes originating from the content and communication methods on new rural construction of press agencies in general, local Party newspapers in particular, which are still inadequate, and need to be more strongly innovated in terms of content and form of propaganda, to better meet the situation and needs of readers.

Therefore, in the implementation of propaganda for new rural construction, Party press agencies of the Northern provinces and cities need to have closer cooperation in organizing propaganda, sharing experiences, professional skills, expanding and diversifying forms of information and propaganda. This is an urgent requirement to improve the quality and effectiveness of the policy of building advanced new rural areas and model cultural villages for local Party press agencies. At the same time, it is the motivation and goal for Party press agencies and the team of Party journalists to contribute to building advanced new rural areas and model cultural villages.

The 28th Conference of Party Newspapers of Northern Provinces and Cities with the theme “Local Party Newspapers with the task of propagating the construction of advanced new rural communes and model cultural villages” is an opportunity for press agencies to share, exchange and discuss good experiences, creative and effective ways of doing things of the units. From there, apply and deploy in directing and organizing propaganda more and more effectively.

At the workshop, representatives of the newspapers: Hanoi Moi, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Quang Ninh Media Center... discussed and exchanged many experiences in propagating and mobilizing people to participate in contributing resources to build new rural areas. Results and experiences in implementing the 4-house linkage production model; restructuring the economy, increasing people's income. Propagating on strengthening the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, promoting the strength of political systems in building new rural areas. Propagating the construction of advanced, exemplary new rural areas with ensuring security and order; digital transformationin building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas...

Hai Duong Newspaper participated in the discussion on propaganda to change awareness and habits to protect the harmonious and sustainable rural living environment. Hai Duong is one of five localities nationwide recognized by the Prime Minister for completing the task of building new rural areas. To achieve this result, the province mobilized maximum resources and accelerated the implementation of 19 new rural criteria. In particular, Hai Duong attaches importance to the implementation of environmental criteria because this is a difficult criterion to achieve but easy to lose. As the mouthpiece of the province, Hai Duong Newspaper always identifies information, propaganda, and public opinion orientation in building new rural areas as a key task, contributing to raising awareness of Party committees, authorities, cadres, party members and people about environmental protection.

The Editorial Board of Hai Duong Newspaper has directed specialized departments to proactively develop plans and implement propaganda on environmental protection-related contents in the direction of promoting beauty and eliminating ugliness on press platforms. Every month, Hai Duong Newspaper builds 1 environmental page, 1 green growth page on printed newspapers; updates news, articles, clips, graphics, podcasts, emagazines... on the environment on Hai Duong electronic newspaper, Fanpage, and Zalo of Hai Duong Newspaper. In addition to assigning specialized reporters, reporters in charge of propaganda in 12 districts, cities, and towns of the province also actively exploit news and articles on the environment. In addition, Hai Duong Newspaper has built a widespread team of collaborators, contributing to informing environmental issues and contents in a more timely, rich, and vivid manner.

The proactiveness and positivity of Hai Duong Newspaper in promoting the environmental field has contributed to the early completion of criterion No. 17 with other localities in the province. In 2020, Hai Duong was recognized for completing the new rural task. By 2023, the province will have 43 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, 4 model new rural communes...

After Vinh Phuc Newspaper, Bac Giang Newspaper will be the host of the 29th Northern Province and City Party Newspaper Conference in 2024.
