Hai Duong press continues to pioneer in firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation and strengthening the people's trust.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors, districts, towns and cities in the province; officials of departments and offices of the Vietnam Journalists Association; former leaders of the Provincial Journalists Association through the periods, representatives of a number of organizations, enterprises and associations in Hai Duong province; leaders of the Party Building Magazine, Journalists Associations of the provinces and cities of Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc and 195 members of the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association.

Speaking at the congress, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang and Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi acknowledged, praised and expressed their joy at the continuous growth and development in all aspects of the Journalists Association and press agencies of Hai Duong province in the past term. The Association has done a good job of leading and directing, actively coordinating press management, gathering, uniting, protecting and creating favorable conditions for members in their professional activities, constantly improving the prestige and promoting the influence of the association; contributing to building a team of Hai Duong journalists with strong political will and increasingly improved professional qualifications to meet the requirements of the new situation.

In the overall success of Hai Duong province, the province's press agencies have always proactively participated in all fields, effectively contributing to the socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; gathering resources and maintaining solidarity and social consensus in the process of successfully implementing the political tasks of the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Duong.

Agreeing with the direction and goals set by the Congress of the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association for the coming term, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang and Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi suggested that the association continue to thoroughly grasp, deploy and implement well the directives and resolutions of the Party and the Vietnam Journalists Association on journalism work in the new situation; continue to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, especially his journalism style, in conjunction with implementing the Press Law, 10 regulations on professional ethics, rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists, etc.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Loi emphasized that in the face of the inevitable trend of digital transformation of journalism, the construction of a convergent newsroom, a multimedia press agency as well as the construction of a team of multi-talented reporters with high expertise, professionalism, culture and ethics suitable for working in the digital environment requires leadership, direction, attention and facilitation, support from the province, the governing body, and press agencies. The Journalists Association, the provincial press agencies, and reporters of press agencies residing in Hai Duong need to closely follow the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to direct all activities of the association to contribute to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks; spread the image of a province of solidarity, innovation, creativity with the aspiration to break through for rapid and sustainable development...

Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang requested the Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies to actively innovate methods and improve the quality of their activities. Continue to implement President Ho Chi Minh's teachings during his lifetime: "Journalists are also revolutionary soldiers". The press must truly become a sharp weapon on the ideological front, continue to play a pioneering role in firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and strengthen the people's trust. This is the top requirement and task of the association and journalists in Hai Duong province.

In the next 5 years, many important political events of the Party, the country and the province will take place. Therefore, the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies in the province need to continue to accompany and produce many works reflecting the voice of the Party Committee, government and people in the province to convey the trust, excitement and consensus among the people inside and outside the province as well as international friends.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that each journalist must truly be a revolutionary soldier. Each true, revolutionary journalist must build for himself a revolutionary offensive spirit, a spirit of daring to fight against the wrong, the bad, the conservative, the backward and the stagnant, to protect the right, the good, to contribute to "using the beautiful to eliminate the bad" for the common interests of the Party, the country and the people. Information in the press must be accurate, highly topical, healthy, practical, combative, and orienting public opinion; frankly fight against and refute false arguments, especially in cyberspace; actively contribute to the fight against corruption, waste, bureaucracy and negative manifestations.

Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies in the province continue to promote social responsibility, civic duty and professional ethics for members and journalists. Build a team of professional, modern and humane revolutionary journalists, loyal to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the people, steadfast in ideology, politics, profession and expertise, living and working according to the Constitution and the law; proactively develop a plan to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day...

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies, departments, branches and organizations of the province continue to pay more attention, coordinate and create all favorable conditions for the Provincial Journalists Association to operate in accordance with regulations, increasingly contributing positively to the development of the province.

The Executive Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association, term IX, 2023-2028, consisting of 9 comrades, was introduced to the congress.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association and two individuals with outstanding achievements in performing the association's work for the 2018-2023 term: journalist Pham Thi Bich Nga (Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Journalists Association, 8th term, Deputy Head of the Specialized Department of the Provincial Radio and Television Station), Nguyen Trong Tuan (Head of the Party Building - Internal Affairs Department, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Newspaper Journalists Association).
