Bac Ninh ends operation of Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs

The People's Council of Bac Ninh province has just issued a resolution on ending the operation of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; merging many departments and branches.

Specifically, the People's Council of Bac Ninh province issued a Resolution to terminate the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Bac Ninh province, transferring tasks to the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Education and Training, and Department of Health.

Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs of Bac Ninh province takes over the state management functions and tasks of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on: Labor, wages and employment in the enterprise sector; social insurance; occupational safety and hygiene; meritorious people; gender equality and takes over the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Vocational Training and Farmers' Support Center and the Provincial Farmers' Association.

Reorganize the Department of Health of Bac Ninh province on the basis of receiving the state management functions and tasks of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on social protection; children; prevention and control of social evils.

Reorganize the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province on the basis of receiving the state management functions and tasks of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on vocational education.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Council also issued a Resolution to establish the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Ninh province on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the province.

Resolution on merging the Department of Science and Technology with the Department of Information and Communications of the province into the Department of Science and Technology of Bac Ninh province.

Resolution on merging the Department of Finance with the Department of Planning and Investment of the province into the Department of Finance of Bac Ninh province.

Resolution on merging the Department of Construction with the Department of Transport of the province into the Department of Construction of Bac Ninh province.

The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province is responsible for regulating the functions, powers, organizational structure and apparatus of the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the province to come into operation from March 1.

Previously, on the afternoon of February 3, the 20th term Party Executive Committee of Bac Ninh province held a conference to announce the end of activities of the Party Delegation of the Provincial People's Council, the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc, the Party Delegation of the Provincial Fatherland Front, the Provincial Labor Federation, the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Veterans' Association, the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Procuracy and the Provincial People's Court.

At the same time, the Provincial Party Committee announced the Decision of the Provincial Party Committee on the establishment of 2 Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee, including: The Provincial Party Committee of Party Agencies for the 2020-2025 term, with 24 Party Committees, grassroots Party cells, 640 Party members and the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, including 45 Party cells, grassroots Party Committees with 5,027 Party members. The above Decision takes effect from February 15, 2025.
