Three Hai Duong rowers help Vietnam team win gold medal at Asian rowing championship

At the Asian Rowing Championships held from October 10 to 14 in Uzbekistan, Hai Duong had 3 athletes and 1 coach in the national team, including: Nguyen Huu Thanh, Nguyen Thi Giang, Bui Van Hoan and coach Tran Thi Kim Oanh. The Vietnamese rowing team won a total of 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 3 bronze medals; in which, Hai Duong athletes contributed to winning 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, 3 bronze medals.

The gold medal was won by Hai Duong rower Nguyen Thi Giang in the W8 event (women's 8-boat). Nguyen Huu Thanh of Hai Duong won the silver medal in the LM2x event (men's lightweight double boat)...

The Asian Rowing Championship brings together 13 national teams, competing for 8 sets of men's medals and 8 sets of women's medals.

Along with canoeing and dragon boat (traditional boat racing), rowing is one of the three main sports of Hai Duong today, and has brought many achievements to Hai Duong in recent years. Since the beginning of the year, in all domestic and international rowing competitions, Hai Duong athletes have won gold medals.
