Competing excellently in domestic tournaments, two Hai Duong rowers were called up to the national team to prepare for the Asian championship.

Coach Nguyen Thi Huu and two rowers Nguyen The Anh Duc and Trieu Hoang Long are prominent names in the Hai Duong rowing team. In domestic and international competitions hosted by Vietnam since the beginning of the year, Nguyen The Anh Duc and Trieu Hoang Long have participated and won gold medals.

National rowing and canoeing championship for excellent rowers (May), Hai Duong rowing team ranked second overall, with 4 gold medals; Southeast Asian youth, U19, U23 and Southeast Asian championships hosted by Vietnam (July), 9 Hai Duong athletes in the national teams (including Nguyen The Anh Duc and Trieu Hoang Long) all won gold medals; National youth rowing and canoeing championship (August), Hai Duong rowing team ranked first overall with 6 gold medals.

The Asian U19 and U23 Rowing Championships will take place from September 11-14 in Shenyang (China). The Vietnamese rowing team consists of 35 members including team leaders, experts, coaches, and athletes. The tournament aims to discover Vietnamese athletes with good performance in preparation for the 2028 Olympic qualifiers, the 33rd SEA Games, and the 20th ASIAD.
