On August 30, the canoeing event in the 2024 National Youth Rowing and Canoeing Championship ended after 6 days of competition at Tam Chuc Lake (Ha Nam). With impressive competition results, Hai Duong rowers finished first in both canoeing and rowing.
This year's tournament brings together 400 athletes from 32 delegations from provinces, cities and industries nationwide.
In canoeing, Hai Duong sent two coaches Le Thi Van and Phan Thi Linh and 15 athletes to compete. The team won a total of 17 medals, including 11 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. This result helped the Hai Duong canoeing team rank first out of 24 delegations, followed by the delegations of Quang Ninh and Vinh Phuc. This result far exceeded the target set before the tournament of winning at least 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

Also at this tournament, the rowing competition ended on August 23. The rowing team of coaches Tran Thi Kim Oanh and Nguyen Thi Huu won 6 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal, ranking first overall.
In both rowing and canoeing, the two Hai Duong rowing teams won a total of 25 medals of all kinds, including 17 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 2 bronze medals, ranking first overall.
