On the morning of March 1, the Tranh Temple Spring Festival of Quy Mao and the announcement of the Decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to list this festival as a national intangible cultural heritage were solemnly held at Tranh Temple, Tranh Xuyen village, Dong Tam commune (Ninh Giang).

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy presented the Decision to announce Tranh Temple Festival as a national intangible cultural heritage to the representative of Dong Tam commune.

Comrades: Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Trong Thua, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of departments, branches and sectors along with a large number of local people and tourists from all over the country attended the ceremony.

The speech read by the leader of Ninh Giang district stated that the Tuan Tranh Temple, located in Dong Tam commune, has a long history and was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2009. In terms of cultural value, Tranh Temple still preserves many cultural sediments with many annual rituals, passed down through many generations.

Before the August Revolution in 1945, the main festivals were held every year in the 2nd and 8th lunar months, and there was also the Quan Banh Le on the 25th of the 5th lunar month. The main festival day of the first festival was on the 14th of the 2nd lunar month, which is said to commemorate the birthday of Quan Lon Tuan Tranh; the main festival day of the second festival was on the 22nd of the 8th lunar month, which commemorated the death of Saint Tran Hung Dao.

Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee offered incense to Quan Lon Tuan Tranh.

The annual events and festivals at Tranh Temple demonstrate the aspirations and cultural creativity of the local community. The work of preserving and promoting cultural heritage values, including the cultural heritage at Tranh Temple, has revived the cultural and artistic values ​​of a culturally rich homeland with a long history, contributing to preserving the national cultural identity.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy presented the Decision to announce Tranh Temple Festival as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage to the representative of Dong Tam commune. This event is of great significance, affirming the efforts of the Party Committee, authorities at all levels and people of Ninh Giang district in preserving and promoting the values ​​of local cultural heritage.

The Tranh Temple Spring Festival in Quy Mao takes place over 3 days, March 1 and March 4-5, with many special activities.
