According to a reporter in Buenos Aires, with 93.3% of the votes counted, candidate Sergio Massa, nominated by the ruling center-left coalition Unión por la Patria (Union for the Fatherland), is leading with 36.4% of the votes. In second place is far-right Congressman Javier Milei with 30.1% and in third place is the President of the Republican Proposal (PRO – the key party in the ruling center-right coalition from 2015-2019), Ms. Patricia Bullrich with 23.8% of the votes.

According to the South American country's Constitution, to win a presidential election, a candidate must win at least 45% of the vote, or 40% of the vote with a lead of at least 10% over the second-place candidate.
