On the morning of March 26, Bolivia drew 0-0 with Uruguay at home in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in South America. This result helped Argentina become the first team in the CONMEBOL region to win a ticket to the 2026 World Cup, because the gap between them and the 7th-placed team, Bolivia, has increased to 14 points.

After 13 matches in the qualifying round, Argentina is leading the rankings with 33 points, showing their superiority over their opponents. Coach Scaloni and his team won tickets early right before the big match with Brazil on the morning of March 26 (Hanoi time).

Argentina is the fourth team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals, after Japan, New Zealand and Iran.

ESPN has questioned Lionel Messi's participation in the upcoming finals in the United States, Mexico and Canada. At 37, M10 has not made a final decision on whether to participate, although he has not denied the possibility.

Messi has repeatedly stressed that playing in the World Cup is not his top priority at the moment. The Inter Miami striker may even end his international career in the near future and focus on his club.

At the 2022 World Cup, Messi exploded with 7 goals, including a double in the final against France. He received the title of Best Player of the Tournament when helping Argentina win the championship.
