People's Armed Forces Hero Ha Minh Tham exchanges "Forever the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers"

On the morning of December 17, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Veterans Association, and the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union jointly organized an exchange program with the theme "Forever the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers".

This is an activity within the program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

Attending and participating in the exchange were Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ha Minh Tham, former Political Commissar of the General Department of Engineering (Ministry of National Defense); Colonel Ho Sy Quyen, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; Duong Thi Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union; Major Nguyen Quoc Binh, officer of the Propaganda Department, Political Department, Provincial Military Command.

Also attending the program were leaders of relevant departments and branches, along with more than 100 officers and soldiers in the armed forces and youth union members in the province.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the tradition of the history of the establishment, construction, fighting and growth of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 80 years; the outstanding contributions and results of the provincial armed forces.

Lieutenant General Ha Minh Tham shared truthfully about his military career; vivid and meaningful stories about the heroic sacrifices of his predecessors in the struggle to firmly protect the Fatherland.

In his 44 years in the military, Lieutenant General Ha Minh Tham spent more than a third of his time fighting on the Southern Front and the Cambodian battlefield. Lieutenant General Ha Minh Tham emphasized that it was the camaraderie and team spirit in combat that nurtured and developed his will and responsibility in carrying out his duties. The title “Uncle Ho’s soldier” was given by the people, but during the process of working, fighting, and training, that title was built by the soldiers themselves.

Representatives of the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command also shared about the inheritance and promotion of the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers of the provincial armed forces; the awareness and responsibility of citizens in building the national defense posture; the thoughts and responsibilities of today's young generation to the country...

The exchange program is an opportunity for today's generation to look back on the glorious journey of the Vietnam People's Army; to honor and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs, generations of officers and soldiers who have devoted and sacrificed their lives to contribute to glorious feats of arms, glorifying the history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people.
