Over the years, members of the Association of Veteran Enterprises and Businessmen of Hai Duong City have always promoted the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, achieved many positive results in production and business, and carried out well humanitarian and charitable activities.
Active economic development
In 1983, after leaving the army, veteran Nguyen Duc Dung (Tuy Hoa street, Le Thanh Nghi ward) decided to follow his family's plastic manufacturing career. He is currently the Director of Hong Ha Plastic Enterprise, one of the prestigious enterprises in the plastic industry nationwide.
In 1999, the State leased 25,000 m² of land, Mr. Dung decided to invest in machinery, production lines, and upgrade his family's cooperative into a factory. Over the past 25 years, Hong Ha Plastic Factory has continuously developed. The factory's products not only serve the domestic market but are also exported to demanding markets such as the US, Korea, and Japan. The factory is creating stable jobs for about 100 workers, many of whom are Mr. Dung's teammates, with an average income of 10 million VND/person/month. Although he is nearly 70 years old, he still cherishes many plans to get rich, to help his teammates, society...
After 8 years in the army, in 1982, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoa (from Tan An commune, Thanh Ha) was discharged from the army and returned to Hai Duong city to apply for a job at a concrete factory. In 2000, he established Hoa Binh Production, Construction and Trading Company Limited (Industrial Cluster 1, Thach Khoi, Hai Duong city), specializing in the production of electric poles, drainage pipes and high and low voltage porcelain... "When I started the company, I felt I was taking a risk because I didn't have much experience in management and business, and my capital was also limited," Mr. Hoa recalled.
Promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, Mr. Hoa tries to work, study and accumulate experience. Thanks to that, his business has always developed steadily. Over the years, the business has always achieved a revenue of about 30 billion VND/year, creating jobs and stable income for 30 workers.
The Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs and Businessmen of Hai Duong City currently has 51 members, including 17 business directors, 1 farm owner, 4 farm owners, 2 medical clinic owners, 18 individual business members, the rest are in other professions...; creating jobs for thousands of workers. Although each person chooses a different field and profession to develop the family economy, they all have one thing in common: the determination to overcome difficulties and challenges to enrich themselves and their families and contribute to the development of the local socio-economy.
Every year, the association's members fulfill their tax obligations to the State, have no outstanding social insurance debts; ensure environmental sanitation, fire prevention, security and order in the locality, and are highly appreciated by Party committees and authorities at all levels.
Full of meaning, full of love
Not only enriching their families and creating jobs for society, members of the Association of Veteran Enterprises and Businessmen of Hai Duong City also actively participate in charity and humanitarian activities.
For many years, Gia Bao Company Limited, directed by veteran Nguyen Dinh Giang, has always set aside a portion of its profits for charity. The company supports the heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Man (94 years old, in Xuan Mang village, Tuan Viet, Kim Thanh); sponsors the province's children's football team. On the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27) and the Lunar New Year every year, the company gives hundreds of gifts to veteran members in difficult circumstances and the poor in the province.
Every year, businessman Nguyen Duc Thang, Director of Au Co Hotel Trading Company Limited, also donates tens of millions of VND to support the "For the Poor" fund, charity, humanitarian activities; and supports local activities to encourage learning and talent.
In the coming time, the Association of Veteran Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of Hai Duong City will continue to focus on building a strong association in all aspects; helping each other develop; and more effectively implementing the work of gratitude and social security.
Over the past 5 years (2018 - 2023), the Association of Veteran Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of Hai Duong City has donated thousands of gifts to veterans in difficult circumstances, poor and near-poor households... not only in Hai Duong City but also in many other localities. During the recent Covid-19 pandemic, the association and its members donated nearly 200 million VND to the Covid-19 Prevention Fund at all levels along with many medical supplies and necessities, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties during the pandemic.
