8/10 first prizes for excellent 9th grade students in Hai Duong province belong to district schools

Of which, there are 10 first prizes, 97 second prizes, 209 third prizes, and 270 consolation prizes. 8 first prizes belong to students from schools in Binh Giang, Gia Loc, Nam Sach, Thanh Mien, and Cam Giang districts.

Vu Huu Secondary School (Binh Giang) had 3 students winning first prizes, including: Nguyen Nhu Phong with 10 points in math; Vu Kim Tuan with 9.75 points in physics; Pham Thi Phuong Chi with 8.5 points in history.

Le Thanh Nghi Secondary School (Gia Loc) has 2 students winning first prizes, including: Ho Nguyen Huong Tra with 10 points in biology and Nguyen Thi Minh Thu with 8.75 points in geography.

The remaining three students from the district school won first prize: Nguyen Thi Quynh Huong, Nguyen Hue Secondary School (Cam Giang) with 10 points in math; Dinh Van Tra, Tu Cuong Secondary School (Thanh Mien) with 10 points in chemistry; Dang Hung Thang, Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Nam Sach) with 8.9 points in English.

The two city students who won first prize were Nguyen Diep Chi, Le Quy Don Secondary School (Hai Duong City) with 8 points in literature; Vu Minh Phuong, Chu Van An Secondary School (Chi Linh) with 8.75 points in geography. Kinh Mon Town had no students winning first prize.

There was no first prize in the IT subject. Tran Duc Minh, Tu Minh Secondary School (Hai Duong City) scored 9.2 points and won second prize. This was the first time Hai Duong organized an IT subject competition. The IT subject competition results were not used to rank the teams.

The provincial exam for excellent 9th graders in the 2023-2024 school year has nearly 1,000 candidates participating. Candidates take the exam in 9 subjects: math, physics, chemistry, literature, history, geography, biology, English and information technology.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the Department of Education and Training decided to recognize 566 grade 9 junior high school students as winners, including 9 first prize winners.
