59 works won national journalism awards for the cause of Vietnamese education

Previously, the organizing committee received nearly 800 entries in 4 categories (print, electronic, radio and television). The award also received the participation of many press agencies from central to local levels in all regions of the country.

The National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnam's Education" is an annual event, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists Association.Education and the Timesis the permanent implementing unit.

The award is held to honor authors with many excellent press works on the education cause; and typical collectives and individuals with many contributions to the education cause.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam - Editor-in-Chief of the newspaperEducation and Times,Steering Committee member, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnam's Education" in 2023 - said that in general, the entries in the past 5 years have almost comprehensively and multi-dimensionally reflected educational issues in all regions of the country.

"Not only recording the actual implementation, many articles have strong criticism on the policies and decisions of the industry, recording the thoughts and aspirations of the management team, teachers, parents and students.

Many measures to overcome limitations, difficulties and obstacles in education are mentioned in the works; there are new initiatives, breakthrough thinking, criticism of educational policies, bringing about good results.

Many works spread the examples of teachers and the good values ​​that education brings. Most of the entries show the authors' meticulous investment of time, labor, and dedication, as well as the editorial board's profound guidance," said Mr. Lam.

This year's special prize goes to the work "Lack of teachers across the country, education sector struggles to innovate" (electronic newspaperVietnamPlus).

The impressive character award belongs to teacher Bui Thi Thu Hong - a character in the work "The person who transmits the "fire" of Then" (newspaper).Tuyen Quang) and teacher Hoa Si Hien - a character in the work "Farmer Teacher" (An Giang Radio and Television Station).

In addition, the organizing committee awarded 8 second prizes, 12 third prizes, 34 consolation prizes and 2 outstanding characters in 2 winning works. Series of articlesElectronic cigarettes "attack" students(newspaperYouth) won the consolation prize.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son acknowledged and expressed his most sincere thanks to reporters in particular and press agencies across the country in general.
