20 students suspected of food poisoning after eating strange food at school gate

According to initial information, at the beginning of the afternoon class, a strange woman came to school and fed the children a jelly-like food. After eating, the children all had symptoms of stomachache, nausea, and vomiting. Immediately after that, the school leaders and parents took the children to the emergency room.

Doctors at the Quang Ngai Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital are monitoring the children's health. Initially, there have been no serious cases. Ms. Tra Thi Thanh Van, Deputy Director of the Quang Ngai Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, said that the hospital received the first case at around 2 p.m., and then many children from the same locality were brought to the emergency room. The children all showed similar symptoms. Initial findings showed that the children all showed signs of suspected food poisoning.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai City, said that initially there was information that a woman stood outside the school gate and fed students an unidentified type of food. Many students showed symptoms of suspected poisoning after eating it.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the Board of Directors of Tran Van Tra Primary School reported it to the local authorities and the City Department of Education and Training. The local police are investigating the incident.
