In Ho Chi Minh City, there has just been a case of marijuana poisoning, suspected to have been caused by the victim eating an unknown type of cake.
Specifically, yesterday afternoon (December 7), three women (43 years old, 38 years old and 31 years old) working as janitors were transferred to the Emergency Department, Le Van Thinh Hospital. Information exploitation recorded that these people were hired to clean an apartment in Thu Duc City on the same day.
At around 12 o'clock, the homeowner invited these people to eat chocolate cake (unknown type). After about 15 minutes, all 3 women showed signs of fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath, vomiting and nausea, so they were transferred to a nearby private clinic. The clinic suspected that the victims were poisoned by stimulants, so they were transferred to Le Van Thinh Hospital for emergency treatment at 13 o'clock.
At the Emergency Department, three patients had their urine tested positive for marijuana. One case had mild cognitive impairment and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. The remaining two were admitted to the General Internal Medicine Unit.
The patients are currently being closely monitored by doctors. According to sources, the incident was reported to local police yesterday afternoon. All three victims are not related to each other but were hired as domestic helpers on a mobile application.
