The list of 10 most outstanding individuals in volunteer activities in 2024 has been announced, including one from Hai Duong and one foreigner.
The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has just announced a list of 10 individuals who won the 2024 National Volunteer Award. These are the most outstanding individuals in volunteer activities this year.
Mr. Phung Quang Trung (born in 1995), leader of Skyline group, currently living and working in Hai Duong city, is one of the 10 most outstanding individuals to win the award.
Established in April 2023, Skyline Group has 9 members, established with the purpose of restoring martyrs' photos for free, showing the gratitude of the younger generation to the previous generation. The group has completed the project of editing and presenting hundreds of martyrs' photos to martyrs' families across the country.
The youngest face is Thach Ngoc Hai, born in 2002, from Dong Thap. Hai is the founder of the For Me Project.
The oldest person is Ms. Katrin Kandel, born in 1958, General Director of the charity organization Facing The World. Operating in Vietnam since 2008, she has performed craniofacial surgeries for thousands of Vietnamese children, trained Vietnamese doctors both domestically and internationally, and donated modern medical equipment to Vietnam worth millions of USD. Ms. Katrin Kandel is also the only foreigner honored among the 10 outstanding faces this year.
The 2024 National Volunteer Awards Ceremony will take place tomorrow evening, December 29, in Lao Cai.
