According to British newspaper Sport Mail, naturalized striker of the Vietnamese national team Nguyen Xuan Son ranked 8th in the statistics of the 10 players who scored the most goals in the world last year, above Kylian Mbappe.
In 2024, Xuan Son scored 40 goals in official matches for Nam Dinh Club and the Vietnam national team.
