With the desire to act as a bridge to share the difficulties of people affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi) causing heavy rain and flooding in many northern provinces, Vietnam Airlines announced to receive and transport free of charge relief goods from agencies, unions, organizations, and businesses on flights operated by Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Vasco).
Accordingly, from September 10, relief goods will be exempted from transportation fees, fuel surcharges and related fees by Vietnam Airlines Group and will be given priority loading on flights of airlines from airports across the country to Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Vinh (Nghe An), Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa), Van Don (Quang Ninh), Dien Bien.
The program applies to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, People's Committees of provinces and cities, Vietnam Red Cross Associations at all levels, and charitable funds (licensed for establishment and charter recognized by State agencies).
Organizations and individuals wishing to transport goods to support storm and flood relief efforts to the Northern provinces during this time can contact the above agencies and organizations to receive free shipping.
This afternoon, September 10, at the "Launching Ceremony to Support Compatriots Affected by Storm No. 3", Vietnam Airlines Group also announced the initial support of 300 million VND from the support of groups and individuals of Vietnam Airlines through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
