Vietnam has copyright for 2024 Paris Olympics when all athletes have been eliminated

On the evening of August 8, the On Sports page of the information channel system of Vietnam Television Cab (VTVCab) confirmed that VTV has the copyright to broadcast the 2024 Paris Olympics for 5 days from August 8 to August 12. The sports will be broadcast on VTV2 and VTV3 channels.

This news surprised fans because the 2024 Paris Olympics have entered their final days of competition. Unfortunately, all athletes of the Vietnamese sports delegation were eliminated and officially left France empty-handed.

Of course, for sports lovers, there are still many high-quality, attractive competitions worth waiting for and watching.

Volleyball and football still have finals as well as some other sports with large fan bases. However, when all Vietnamese athletes have been eliminated, the appeal of the 2024 Paris Olympics will certainly be significantly reduced with the general audience.

This year’s Summer Olympics was a predictable failure for the Vietnamese sports delegation. The delegation brought 16 athletes, but only Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting), to some extent Anh Nguyet (archery), Duc Phat, Thuy Linh (badminton), and Pham Thi Hue (rowing) brought bright spots.

Thuy Linh and Duc Phat both have a chance to get through the group stage because they caused many difficulties for the world's top athletes. Meanwhile, Thu Vinh ranked 4th in the women's 10m air pistol final and is very close to a bronze medal.

On the afternoon of August 8, Nguyen Thi Huong finished the women's 200m single sculls event. She failed to pass the first qualifying round and lost in the play-off round. The rower born in 2001 is the last member of the Vietnamese sports delegation to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
