Speaking at the program, on behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister, Comrade Le Minh Khai acknowledged the efforts, attempts and results of economic and social recovery that Hai Duong has achieved in 2022. He was impressed when the province's economic growth was higher than the national average, the budget revenue exceeded the estimate by over 30% and was one of the bright spots in new rural construction in the country. In particular, Hai Duong always pays special attention to implementing social security work well, including taking care of policy families and the disadvantaged every time Tet comes and spring comes.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in 2023, Hai Duong should focus on effectively implementing Resolution No. 01 dated January 6 of the Government on key tasks and solutions for socio-economic development and improving the business environment in 2023. Closely following the Resolutions of the Party and the Government, continuing to unite, overcome difficulties, mobilize all resources, and maximize the potential and advantages of the locality to develop the economy quickly, strongly and sustainably. Continuing to implement the socio-economic recovery and development program according to Resolution No. 11 dated January 30, 2022 of the Government. Paying attention to removing bottlenecks and bottlenecks in implementing economic development mechanisms and policies, especially in attracting investment to maximize opportunities for socio-economic development. Effectively using central and local resources in the construction of key projects. Pay attention to and effectively implement three national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang respectfully thanked Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai for his affection for the Party Committee and people of Hai Duong. At the same time, he accepted the Deputy Prime Minister's opinions to direct implementation in the coming time, ensuring seriousness and effectiveness. He hoped that the Government, central ministries, branches, and the Deputy Prime Minister himself would continue to pay attention, help, and create conditions for Hai Duong to develop more and more rapidly and sustainably.

The program presented 400 Tet gifts from the Central and the province to policy families, people, workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.

At the program, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) donated 5 billion VND to support social security work in Hai Duong province; Agribank Hai Duong branch donated 500 million VND, and the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies donated 100 million VND to give Tet gifts to the poor, workers, and disadvantaged laborers.

Representative of Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) presented a symbol of support of 5 billion VND for social security work in Hai Duong province.

Reading the report at the program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung said that up to now, Hai Duong has transferred 56,829 Tet gifts with a total cost of more than 17 billion VND from the President to people under the policy to localities for implementation. At the same time, the local budget has allocated 75,000 gifts worth over 55.7 billion VND to families with meritorious services to the revolution, the poor, the elderly, children with disabilities, leprosy patients, families of soldiers stationed on islands, and social assistance facilities. The district-level People's Committee has donated 6,632 gifts to people with meritorious services, 18,048 gifts to poor and near-poor households, families in difficult circumstances, and social protection beneficiaries...

Central and provincial leaders presented 400 gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances. The Provincial Labor Federation supported 16,183 union members and laborers in difficult circumstances with a total cost of nearly 8.1 billion VND; gave train and bus tickets and gifts to 350 laborers... Labor unions of districts, towns, cities and sectors presented 2,400 gift bags to union members, workers and laborers.
