On the morning of August 22, President Vo Van Thuong and President of Kazakhstan Kassym - Jomart Tokayev and delegations from the two countries visited Chu Dau Ceramics Joint Stock Company (Nam Sach).

Since Vietnam and Kazakhstan officially established diplomatic relations in 1992, the relationship between the two countries has recorded many positive developments. Economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan is on a good development path. The signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in 2015 has opened up many opportunities for the development of economic and trade relations between Vietnam and EAEU countries in general and Kazakhstan in particular. Since the signing of the Free Trade Agreement, Vietnam-Kazakhstan trade turnover has grown positively, averaging about 28% per year. Kazakhstan is Vietnam's second largest trading partner in the EAEU. Bilateral trade turnover in 2022 reached nearly 600 million USD. The two sides aim to increase trade turnover to 1.5 billion USD by 2030.
