On the evening of September 6, Pham Ngu Lao ward (Hai Duong city) mobilized 132 households with 370 people living in B2 and B3 Binh Minh apartment buildings to move to a safe place to avoid storm No. 3.
Implementing the direction of the City People's Committee on emergency response to storm No. 3 and post-storm floods in Hai Duong City, on the evening of September 6, the People's Committee of Pham Ngu Lao Ward, Hai Duong City held an urgent meeting and mobilized families living in the old collective housing areas B2, B3 Binh Minh to evacuate to avoid storm No. 3.
After being informed by the Ward People's Committee about the complicated and dangerous situation related to the situations caused by storm No. 3, households signed a commitment to move to a safe place to avoid the storm.
Ms. Do Thi Nghia, Chairwoman of the Ward People's Committee, said that after checking, there are 132 households with 370 people in the two apartment buildings B2 and B3 Binh Minh. On the evening of September 6, the ward will mobilize all the above households to evacuate to relatives' houses or other safe places to avoid storm No. 3.
For households that cannot arrange their own accommodation, the ward has arranged shelters at the dormitory of Le Quy Don Secondary School. Currently, this dormitory has 220 beds with full bedding and a kitchen. The city has arranged enough facilities and essential necessities for people during the days of moving to avoid the storm.
People only bring the most essential personal items and commit to only returning home when notified that it is safe by the authorities.
The ward has sent police, civil defense, and militia forces to ensure the safety of people and property both at home and at destination.
According to the assessment results of the Department of Construction, the B2, B3, and B4 apartment buildings of Binh Minh have a level D danger level (the most dangerous level) and need to be demolished soon to ensure safety. Previously, since July, residents of B4 Binh Minh apartment building were relocated from this old apartment building.
100% of households living in the collective house block of May Buong, Nguyen Trai ward have evacuated to avoid storm number 3.
According to the news we updated at 9:55 pm on September 6 from the People's Committee of Nguyen Trai Ward (Hai Duong City), the May Bom collective housing area currently has 114 households and 254 people. Of which, 50 households live in level 4 houses that are potentially at risk from the impact of storm No. 3, the remaining 64 households live in 2- and 3-storey houses.
Nguyen Trai Ward People's Committee organized the signing of commitments and organized the relocation of all 50 households in the level 4 houses. Of these, 45 households moved to relatives' houses, 5 households were arranged shelters at the ward People's Committee hall. The ward People's Committee also signed commitments with 64 households living in 2-3 story houses, requesting to be ready to relocate within 1 hour when requested by the authorities.
At the May Xay apartment complex, all 13 households with 36 people moved to relatives' houses to take shelter from the storm.
