The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has sent a letter to the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) warning that the registration of two players Titan Agung and Komang Teguh to participate in the Southeast Asian U23 tournament is invalid, because they are under disciplinary action.

Titan Agung and Komang Teguh were both banned for 6 matches by the AFC and fined $1,000 for their involvement in the brawl in the 32nd SEA Games final. However, the duo were still included in coach Shin Tae Yong's list for the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament.

When the list was announced more than a week ago, Indonesian media said that the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament was not part of the AFC system, so Titan Agung and Komang Teguh could still participate. However, the AFC "blew the whistle" on U23 Indonesia right before the opening match against U23 Malaysia.

According to BolaSport, Titan Agung and Komang Teguh had to return home, leaving only 21 players on the U23 Indonesia roster. However, PSSI has not yet decided whether to add players to replace Titan Agung and Komang Teguh.

In the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament, U23 Indonesia will participate with the core of the players who just won the gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games. Coach and studentcoachShin Tae Yong will meet U23 Malaysia at 8:00 p.m. on August 18 and meet U23 Timor Leste at 8:00 p.m. on August 20 within the framework of Group B.
