China reserved the highest honors to welcome General Secretary and President To Lam

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and his wife, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, paid a State visit to the People's Republic of China from August 18-20.

On the morning of August 19, the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, was solemnly held at the Great Hall of the People according to the highest protocol reserved for heads of state.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife presided over the welcoming ceremony.

Attending the welcoming ceremony on the Chinese side were also comrades: Cai Qi, member of the Politburo Standing Committee, Secretary of the Secretariat, Director of the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee; Wang Yi, member of the Politburo, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China; Wang Xiaohong, member of the State Council, Minister of Public Security of China; Liu Jianchao, Head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee; Zheng Sanjie, Director of the National Development and Reform Commission; Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology; Wang Wendao, Minister of Commerce, and many comrades leading departments, ministries, branches, central agencies, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hung Ba.

The motorcade carrying General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, entered the Great Hall of the People. General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife warmly welcomed General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife.

The two sides introduced the officials present at the welcoming ceremony.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping invited General Secretary and President To Lam to step up to the podium. The military band played the national anthems of Vietnam and China, and a 21-gun salute was fired.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and General Secretary and President To Lam review the honor guard of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The honor guard marches past the podium.

Then, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and General Secretary and President To Lam passed by the Military Band, waving to the children holding flags and flowers.

Next, the two General Secretaries, the Presidents and their wives took a group photo in front of the national and party flags of the two countries.

Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping led the high-ranking Chinese delegation and General Secretary and President To Lam led the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to hold talks.
