Ukrainian President signs laws extending martial law and general mobilization

On November 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed into law two bills on extending martial law and general mobilization across the country for three months.

The status of the above bills is updated on the online portal of the Parliament of Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian lawmakers approved a bill extending martial law with 329 votes in favor, while a bill on extending general mobilization received 322 votes. Both bills will be extended until February 14, 2024.

President Zelensky first declared martial law on February 24, 2022, following the conflict with Russia. Since then, martial law has been extended nine times.
