Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the masterminds of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall theater on the outskirts of Moscow last March were trying to undermine the national unity of the Russian people.
Speaking at the 12th Congress of the Russian Federation of Independent Trade Unions, President Putin stated that based on the investigators' report, there is reason to believe that the main goal of the masterminds behind the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall theater was to undermine the spirit of unity of the Russian people.
President Putin asserted that the most important condition for Russia's success is the unity of its multi-ethnic society. "This is the fundamental, main condition for Russia's success," he stressed.
According to the latest figures, the terrorist attack that occurred at the Crocus City Hall theater on the evening of March 22 left 144 people dead and 551 injured. On April 4, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that it had arrested three more suspects suspected of assisting in the terrorist attack.
