Speaking at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York (USA), Mr. Biden affirmed: "All-out war is not in anyone's interests." President Biden said that despite the escalation of the situation, all parties can still find a diplomatic solution.

Regarding the conflict in Lebanon, the US leader said that the only path to lasting security is to allow residents of both countries to return home safely, and the US and a number of intermediary countries are working tirelessly to achieve this goal.

Regarding the conflict in Gaza, Mr. Biden said: “I proposed to Qatar and Egypt a ceasefire and hostage release agreement. The agreement has been approved by the UN Security Council. Now it is time for the parties to finalize the terms.”

Accordingly, the agreement will help release hostages and ensure security for Israel and Gaza, reduce suffering for Gaza people and end conflict in this land.

Similarly, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva warned that the conflict in Gaza was “dangerously” spreading to Lebanon, and called for a ceasefire. Lula said that the retaliatory attacks were preventing a hostage deal and delaying a ceasefire.
