Na Hang district is located about 110km north of Tuyen Quang city. Na Hang in the Tay ethnic language means "last field". Na Hang has green rice fields interspersed with limestone mountains, primeval forests, especially the lake on the mountain creating a charming landscape. In particular, Na Hang lake is known as "Ha Long on land" of Tuyen Quang. Therefore, Na Hang has become one of the greatest tourism potentials in Tuyen Quang. Na Hang is also rich with a unique culture of 12 ethnic groups residing there. Each ethnic group has its own culture creating a vivid cultural picture.

From Na Hang Town, it takes just over 1 hour to reach Hong Thai. Located at an altitude of over 1,200m above sea level, Hong Thai terraced fields are located in Khau Trang village, Hong Thai commune, 50km from the center of Na Hang district, one of the highest communes in the province. Hong Thai terraced fields spread over 80ha, as beautiful as a silk carpet across the hillside. When autumn comes, the golden carpet of ripe rice on the terraced fields, layer upon layer, exudes a captivating fragrance. This place also possesses a rich cultural identity of the Dao, Mong, and Tay people.

As a highlight of Tuyen Quang tourism, Na Hang district strives to welcome over 350,000 tourists by 2025, with social revenue from tourism reaching over 430 billion VND. In the first 9 months of 2023, Na Hang attracted 214,385 tourists, reaching 119.1% of the plan, up 7.7% over the same period, with social revenue from tourism reaching over 267 billion VND, reaching 119% of the 2023 plan.
