Trust General Secretary To Lam to follow in the footsteps of comrade Nguyen Phu Trong

On the morning of August 3, the 13th Party Central Committee held a meeting to introduce personnel and elect the General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee. With an absolute majority of votes, Comrade To Lam, Politburo member and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, was elected to hold the position of General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Kim Thanh District Party Committee (Hai Duong) assessed this as a very important political event, demonstrating the Party's timeliness in high-level personnel work.

"The election of Comrade To Lam as General Secretary with 100% of the votes demonstrates the trust and high solidarity and unity of the Party Central Committee. This is an important premise for the new General Secretary To Lam to inherit and promote the revolutionary achievements that Comrade General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and previous generations of leaders have worked hard to build," the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Kim Thanh District Party Committee confidently shared.

Sharing the same excitement and consensus when hearing the news that President To Lam was elected General Secretary, Ms. Dang Thi Huyen, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Cong Hoa Commune, Nam Sach District (Hai Duong) said that the fact that Comrade To Lam held the important position of General Secretary was agreed upon and highly appreciated by voters and people.

"Although I am very saddened by the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, I, like many people in the commune, am excited to know that President To Lam was elected to the position of General Secretary very promptly with an absolute number of votes. This proves the capacity and prestige of comrade To Lam before the Party and the people of the whole country in general, and the people of Hai Duong in particular. We believe that with responsibility and enthusiasm, comrade To Lam will follow in the footsteps of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to lead the country to further development," Ms. Huyen shared.

High hopes for the General Secretary

Along with the people of the whole country, the people of Hai Duong are placing high expectations on the successor of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Mr. Le Xuan Tho on Tam Giang Street (Hai Duong City), a revolutionary soldier who was captured and imprisoned by the enemy, a party member with nearly 80 years of membership, hopes that the new General Secretary To Lam will keep the "furnace" always warm so that "fresh wood" can burn.

Hearing the news on the morning of August 3 that after the Party's key personnel restructuring, a number of comrades were dismissed from their positions as members of the Party Central Committee for violating Party regulations, including the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister, and Provincial Party Secretary, Mr. Tho felt even more confident.

"Previously, when he was the Minister of Public Security and Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Anti-Making, Comrade To Lam, under the direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, had achieved success in cracking down on major corruption and anti-matter cases. I have high hopes and trust that he will follow in the footsteps of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to keep the furnace burning," Mr. Tho expressed his confidence.

Along with fighting corruption, Hai Duong people believe that the new General Secretary To Lam will promote the legacy that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong left for the next generation in Party building and rectification, diplomatic policies and integrity.

"I, like many residents in the residential area, believe that the new General Secretary To Lam can completely continue and develop the legacy that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong left to new heights. Comrade To Lam has been well-trained, experienced in many positions, and has been tested and challenged for many years in the police force, so he has enough qualities and courage to take on this position," said Mr. Doan The Quang, a former police officer of Hai Duong province.

Following the news on the newspapers and radio, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong in Dai Dinh village, Ngoc Ky commune (Tu Ky) was also very happy and excited to hear that comrade To Lam was elected to the position of General Secretary. Mr. Truong hopes that with his capacity and experience through many working positions, the new General Secretary To Lam will continue to inherit and follow the example of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
