After summarizing the results of the implementation of political tasks since the beginning of the 19th Congress of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Do Duc Duy, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, made recommendations and proposals to the Working Group on a number of issues related to the implementation of mechanisms, policies and laws, especially laws on investment, business, land, and the implementation of national target programs.

Along with that is the unification of the party organization model in the central agencies and vertical branches located in the provinces, cities, state-owned enterprises, and public service units; regulations on the age of participation in provincial-level Party committees; mechanisms and policies to encourage rotation and secondment of cadres between central ministries, departments, and branches with localities and vice versa, including cadres and leaders at department level and equivalent.

At the meeting, the leaders of Yen Bai province mentioned to the delegation policies, solutions and instructions for implementing payment and financial support for teachers who teach beyond the norm; regulations on policies to support students and schools in communes and villages with special difficulties to ensure suitability with the current practical situation in localities...

At the meeting, members of the working group highly appreciated the results achieved by Yen Bai province in the past half term. At the same time, they answered and clarified some recommendations and proposals of the province.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee in overcoming difficulties to achieve important results in the first half of the term of implementing the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress. Notably, Yen Bai focused on implementing well the work of disseminating, concretizing, leading and organizing the implementation of the Resolution. The results of socio-economic development, national defense, security and Party building of the province were outstanding with 18/19 targets reaching and exceeding the targets of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress. The work of Party building and rectification was relatively comprehensive, strict and guaranteed. The comrade was also impressed with the goal of "Green, harmonious, unique and happy" of Yen Bai province.

Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai agreed with the direction and key tasks of the province in the coming time. Sharing the difficulties of the province, she emphasized some issues that Yen Bai province needs to pay attention to from now until the end of the term. That is, the province should focus on implementing solutions to collect budget to ensure the set goals; proactively attract and invite investment; pay attention to improving the quality of human resource training; and improve the lives of ethnic minorities.

Yen Bai needs to continue reviewing and evaluating the results, goals, targets, tasks, and solutions for implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; setting out tasks and solutions to strive to achieve the highest level of the goals and targets set out in the Resolution. In particular, the province focuses on reducing the proportion of agricultural economy, increasing the proportion of industry, trade, and services in socio-economic development; increasing per capita income; paying attention to improving the quality of human resource training; improving the lives of ethnic minorities as well as the quality of cadres, especially ethnic minority cadres, to ensure capacity and meet the requirements of the tasks.

Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai directly discussed and answered a number of recommendations from the province; at the same time, she noted a number of recommendations from the province and proposed the Central Government to consider and direct.

During the visit and work in Yen Bai, the delegation donated funds to support Mu Cang Chai students affected by natural disasters.

Earlier, in the morning of the same day, comrade Truong Thi Mai and the delegation attended the opening ceremony of the new school year, encouraged and shared joy with the teachers and students of the Van Yen District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Yen Bai).

Speaking to share joy with teachers and students of the school at the Opening Ceremony, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai expressed her joy at attending the Opening Ceremony of the new school year at one of the eight ethnic boarding schools that have contributed more than 30 years to the education and training of ethnic minority children in Yen Bai province.

He affirmed that the Party, State and society always pay special attention and care to the cause of education and training, especially for ethnic minorities in mountainous areas, remote areas, contributing to the implementation of the policy of "Equality, solidarity, respect, mutual assistance for development among ethnic groups".

Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai acknowledged and commended the school's Board of Directors for always being united, upholding responsibility, actively innovating methods, gradually improving the quality of teaching and learning, taking care of conditions for students to have a better learning and training environment; many students won high prizes in cultural and gifted subjects, typically in the provincial excellent student competition in the 2022-2023 school year. From this school, many students have grown up, returned to contribute to their homeland in remote, isolated and especially disadvantaged areas of the province.

The Party committees, authorities, political system, education sector and people of Yen Bai province have overcome many difficulties, made efforts and determined to bring the province's education and training career to a strong development. In 2022, Yen Bai will be the 18th province in the country to be recognized as meeting the standards of universalizing lower secondary education level 2.

Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai hopes that the Party committees, authorities and education sector of Yen Bai province will join the whole country in caring for and nurturing the cause of "growing people"; caring for and meeting the learning needs of children of ethnic minorities.

He hopes that the Board of Directors, teachers, officers and staff of Van Yen District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, with the spirit of "all for beloved students", will take care of the students' studies, meals, sleep, personality education, qualities, and safety, so that they can feel that the school is also their home, their second family.

During the opening ceremony, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai re-read Uncle Ho's letter to the children of Yen Bai province on August 26, 1948. She hoped that the children would study hard, practice, obey their teachers, work together to build the school, promote the spirit of solidarity, help each other to progress, be good children and good students, and in the future be worthy successors, building the homeland to become more and more prosperous.

On this occasion, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai, the Central Working Group and leaders of Yen Bai province awarded 50 scholarships to disadvantaged students who have excelled in their studies; and presented 20 bicycles to ethnic minority students in particularly disadvantaged communes in Van Yen district.
