A female tourist from Hanoi came to Ba Khan (Mai Chau, Hoa Binh) to rent a room by the stream to relax. However, instead of the peaceful, babbling stream, the group of guests were surprised when the water flowed so hard that it "washed away the entire room".
Recently, a video appeared on social media recording the image of a stream rushing next to a tourist's room in Ba Khan (Mai Chau, Hoa Binh). The poster shared that they rented a room next to a small, gentle stream to heal, but in reality, the stream was rushing, as if it "washed away the whole room".
The video received 1.1 million views and thousands of interactions and comments. Many netizens were curious to find the address of this resort.
According to research, the video was recorded by Ms. Thuy Nguyen, a tourist from Hanoi, in November 2023. Only recently did Ms. Thuy remember this experience and post it on social media.
Ms. Thuy and her friends rented a room at a resort in Ba Khan, Mai Chau, about 125km from Hanoi. This resort is located on a mountainside, overlooking a green valley and Hoa Binh Lake. There is a natural stream flowing through the resort, creating a relaxing, peaceful feeling, so it is especially loved by tourists.
"Before, I often traveled to Moc Chau so I only passed by Mai Chau. However, when I saw the pictures of the resort in Ba Khan with its natural stream, beautiful scenery, and fresh air, I was very impressed. My friends and I decided to rent a room by the stream to rest for 3 days and 2 nights," Ms. Thuy shared.
The surprising thing was that when Ms. Thuy checked in, it was raining heavily so the stream was flowing very strongly, rushing in. “I posted the video for fun, but my group was a bit surprised, not scared or worried.
The stream flows strongly but it is also an image that makes me excited. The room has a wooden platform facing the stream, with a small table and chairs for visitors to enjoy the scenery while resting and eating," said Ms. Thuy.
According to female tourists, the rooms here are quite good, fully equipped, built in the style of stilt houses, giving a warm, close feeling. The resort staff is enthusiastic, the restaurant serves delicious local dishes at reasonable prices.
"There are many trees around the room and the interior uses wooden furniture, so if it rains, it will be a bit damp," Ms. Thuy added. The cost for a night's stay for Ms. Thuy's group is 1.3 million VND/room.

Under Ms. Thuy's video, some tourists said that the stream at this resort is really clean, peaceful, and "truly healing". However, during the rainy season, the amount of water flowing down will be large, creating the scene as Ms. Thuy recorded.
"Before booking a room, you should ask the staff for advice. The summer is very cool, pleasant, and feels very peaceful," a tourist shared.
From the resort, visitors can walk to visit highland villages, climb mountains and trek through primeval forests, kayak, take a boat on Hoa Binh Lake, visit caves...
Ba Khan is the old name of a mountainous commune in Mai Chau district (Hoa Binh province), including three hamlets: Khan Thuong, Khan Ha, and Khan Ho.
In 2020, Ba Khan and the communes of Phuc San and Tan Mai merged into Son Thuy commune. However, many tourists still call this land Ba Khan.
Son Thuy commune is about 50km from Hoa Binh city center and 25km from Mai Chau district center.
Many people choose Ba Khan as a stopover, because this place has a wild beauty, nestled between the mountains and Hoa Binh lake, creating a charming landscape, as beautiful as a watercolor painting.
In winter, Ba Khan is often covered in thick fog, reminding many people of the beautiful town of Sa Pa in Lao Cai.
In summer, this place is covered with green mountains, lakes, and trees. Coming here, tourists can visit Go Lao waterfall, Hang Kia - Pa Co, Thung Khe pass, visit Muong and Thai villages...
The cuisine in Ba Khan is quite rich. Visitors should not miss grilled fish from the Da River, buffalo meat wrapped in lom leaves, local pigs, steamed local chicken, grilled local chicken, bamboo rice, pickled pork, sticky rice, five-color sticky rice, sour bamboo shoots cooked with chicken, and rice wine.
Tourists who love to experience and explore can choose to stay at homestays to immerse themselves in the life of the Muong people, explore customs and traditions, and enjoy traditional cuisine.
In addition, tourists can also choose resort tourism. However, the resorts here are quite few and often fully booked on weekends, holidays, and Tet, so tourists should note to book in advance.
