Vietnam women's volleyball team lost to China

Before this match took place, both Vietnam and China had already secured tickets to the semi-finals. The confrontation between the two teams only meant to determine the group leader.

Although it was just a formality match, the Vietnamese women's team still entered the match with their strongest lineup. However, against a strong opponent like China, the Vietnamese girls lost all 3 games with the scores of 13-25, 13-25, 11-25. This defeat left the Vietnamese women's team in second place in Group E.

Meanwhile, in the final match of Group F, Japan won 3-0 against Thailand with a fairly close score of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-23 after 80 minutes of play. Thus, Japan will top Group F to meet Vietnam in the semi-finals.

Thailand, ranked second in the group, will have to face the host team China in the other semi-final. China is known to be the defending champion of the women's volleyball tournament at the Asian Games. Thailand is the runner-up. The Vietnamese women's team is only in the semi-finals at the Asian Games for the first time in history.

According to the organizers' schedule, the two semi-final matches will take place at noon and evening tomorrow, October 6. The match between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and Japan will take place at 2:30 p.m. on October 6, while the semi-final match between China and Thailand will take place at 7 p.m.
