Hai Duong Provincial Library displays spring newspapers online for the first time

Displaying the At Ty spring newspaper online helps people access newspapers and magazines easily and conveniently.

On the morning of January 21, Hai Duong Provincial Library coordinated to open the exhibition of the Spring At Ty 2025 newspaper and the Han Nom calligraphy exhibition.

The exhibition introduces more than 150 At Ty spring publications of central and local press agencies nationwide. The publications are a panoramic picture reflecting the political, economic, cultural and social achievements in 2024 and the directions and tasks for 2025.

In addition to the traditional spring newspaper exhibition space, this year the Provincial Library introduces an online spring newspaper exhibition platform. The platform will help people easily access newspaper and magazine publications anytime, anywhere.

Students visited the art book model of the Hammer and Sickle Party Flag and the National Flag, which was arranged from 400 books introducing the General Secretaries of different periods as well as the historical significance and wise leadership of the Party over the years. In addition, the Provincial Library also introduced a set of books about the process of building and growing up of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past 95 years, and the traditional New Year customs of the Vietnamese people.

In the space of the Provincial Library, hundreds of horizontal lacquered boards and parallel sentences are displayed along with poems and prose collected and composed by members of the Hai Duong Han Nom Club, expressed on many materials, in many different calligraphy styles.

This year, the Provincial Library recreated the Vietnamese Tet space, the old house space, and restored old book and newspaper stalls. In addition to the exhibition content, the activities of learning to write Han Nom and Vietnamese calligraphy attracted many delegates and people to participate.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thanh Trung asked for calligraphy at the space of the spring calligraphy program. The program recreated the image of a teacher giving calligraphy every time Tet comes and spring comes.

Ms. Phan Thi Lanh in Tan Binh Ward (Hai Duong City) asked for the words "Chi" and "Tri" with the wish for wisdom, clarity and determination in the new year. Ms. Lanh believes that the exhibition will be a place where the young generation has the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the nation, continuing the tradition of respecting teachers, learning and filial piety of the Vietnamese people.
