Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation attended all activities within the framework of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits.
On the evening of October 11, the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation arrived at Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi, successfully concluding the working trip to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits in Vientiane, Laos, from October 8-11.
The 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits were a great success, concluding ASEAN cooperation in 2024 with many practical results, leaving a strong impression of the proactive and positive contributions and leading role of the Lao Chair, contributing to enhancing the stature of the "connected and self-reliant" ASEAN Community, towards a new stage of ASEAN development with a new vision, new thinking, new motivation and new mindset.
With about 60 multilateral and bilateral activities, the Vietnamese delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the conferences, conveying many important messages about ASEAN and its future; affirming Vietnam's role and position in ASEAN; at the same time coordinating, supporting, backing, and contributing to Laos' successful assumption of the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024, thereby also strengthening the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation attended all more than 20 activities within the framework of the conference, including ASEAN conferences, ASEAN conferences with partners, and thematic conferences and dialogues.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had bilateral meetings with many leaders of ASEAN countries and ASEAN partners; together with the Prime Ministers of Laos and Cambodia, there were activities to strengthen solidarity and cooperation among the three countries.
In particular, the Prime Minister met with the highest leaders of Laos, namely the General Secretary, President; Prime Minister; and Chairman of the Lao National Assembly, to discuss ways to continue fostering the great relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to be increasingly sustainable and in-depth.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits in Laos achieved comprehensive results; effectively implementing the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress and Conclusion 59-KL/TW of the Politburo on the orientation of ASEAN participation until 2030; continuing to affirm the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, and multilateralization; increasing trust, bringing relations into depth, practicality, and effectiveness for peace, cooperation, and development of each country, in the region and internationally.
