Hai Duong won the rowing event at the national youth rowing championship.

The National Youth Rowing and Canoeing Championship held at Tam Chuc Lake (Ha Nam) from August 18 has ended the rowing event. With 6 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal, the Hai Duong rowing team ranked first overall, exceeding the pre-tournament target of winning at least 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. The Hanoi and Bac Lieu teams ranked second and third overall.

The Hai Duong rowing team consists of 17 athletes, led by coaches Tran Thi Kim Oanh and Nguyen Thi Huu. In June 2024, at the Southeast Asian Youth, U19, U23 and Southeast Asian Championships, all 9 Hai Duong rowers in the national team won gold medals. In May, the Hai Duong rowing team ranked second in the National Rowing and Canoeing Championship for Outstanding Rowers...

This year’s National Youth Rowing and Canoeing Championships have 400 athletes from 32 delegations from provinces, cities and sectors nationwide. The athletes compete in 92 events for men, women and mixed men and women.

After the rowing event, the National Youth Rowing and Canoeing Championships will move on to the canoeing event from August 25-30. Participating in this event, the Hai Duong canoeing team has 2 coaches and 15 athletes, and is assigned the target of winning at least 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
