According to the People's Committee of Thanh Mien district, in the first 6 months of this year, the total state budget revenue in the area reached 97,391 billion VND, although it increased by 60.9% compared to the same period in 2023, it only reached 20.9% of the year's estimate. This is the second consecutive year that Thanh Mien district's budget revenue in the first 6 months of the year was lower than the estimate.

Of which, revenue from land use fees always accounts for a large proportion but only reaches 37.12 billion VND, equal to 9.5% of the assigned estimate. The reason is that the new residential area project in Hong Quang commune and the residential area in Cao Thang commune, invested by An Loc Phat International Investment Joint Stock Company and Viet Hung Urban Investment Joint Stock Company, have not paid land use fees. The total land use fees owed by the two above enterprises is more than 674 billion VND. In addition, the auction of land use rights has encountered difficulties due to the stagnant real estate market, causing some new residential area projects to have few buyers.
