By June 5, all 23 communes and towns of Tu Ky district had established hotlines to receive reports on illegal mineral exploitation.
The hotline team is headed by the Chairman of the People's Committee of each commune or town. The team leader arranges members to be on duty, receive information and feedback from people denouncing the exploitation of land outside the dike, river sand causing riverbank erosion, affecting agricultural production, threatening the safety of bridges, culverts and dikes.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of communes and towns must be responsible to the Chairman of the District People's Committee if illegal riverbed mining and use of riverbanks to store minerals occur in the area.
The list of hotline members and phone numbers is announced on the commune radio station and the local electronic information portal.
