The strength of great solidarity is the decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023), on the morning of November 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the National Great Unity Day with the people of the residential area of ​​Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province.

Also attending this special festival with the people of Sa De Phin were members of the Party Central Committee: Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh; Secretary of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee Giang Pao My; and leaders of central ministries, branches and Lai Chau province.

Sa De Phin is a mountainous commune on the Sin Ho plateau of Lai Chau province. Sa De Phin has 4 villages, with more than 350 households, mainly H'Mong ethnic people living there.

At the National Great Unity Day, the people of Sa De Phin commune performed many cultural, artistic, sports and traditional folk games, unique "homegrown" of the locality.

The Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and people of Sa De Phin commune reviewed the tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; reported on the results of implementing the task of building the great national unity bloc; results of economic, cultural and social development; results of implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements of the locality.

Sa De Phin people expressed their joy and gratitude for the attention of the Party and State to economic development and improving the lives of people nationwide, including Sa De Phin commune.

Thanks to that, Sa De Phin today has a spacious infrastructure, village roads and alleys are concreted, people are united, and life is prosperous. People express their determination to unite together to develop the economy, eliminate bad customs, restore the traditional cultural identity of the nation, maintain security, and promote the role of the people in local affairs.

Sharing joy with the people of Sa De Phin commune, speaking at the National Great Unity Day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that solidarity is a precious tradition throughout the struggle for national independence and unification in the past as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.

The strength of great national unity is an important driving force and the decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

After 20 years of organization, the National Great Unity Day has become a beautiful tradition in residential areas, bringing the Front's work to the grassroots, reaching each family and each person, including the Inter-Residential Area of ​​villages in Sa De Phin commune.

According to the Prime Minister, this year's National Great Unity Day is even more meaningful as the entire Party, people and army are actively and urgently implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels; practically making achievements to welcome the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.

The Prime Minister said that in 2023, although the world situation continued to develop complicatedly, with many unprecedented issues, exceeding forecasts, and more difficulties and challenges than opportunities and advantages, our country has achieved many important results in many fields, continuing to be a bright spot in the global economy.

The Prime Minister affirmed that these positive results were achieved thanks to the close and timely leadership and direction of the Party Central Committee, directly and regularly by the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; the supervision and accompaniment of the National Assembly and agencies in the political system; the drastic, firm, flexible and practical direction and management of the Government, all levels, sectors and localities; the cooperation and support of international friends; the support and active participation of the business community and people nationwide, especially the solidarity, unity and spirit of efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges of our entire nation.

The Prime Minister expressed his pleasure to know that in recent years, the Party committees, authorities, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lai Chau province have promoted the tradition of solidarity, focused resources, exploited unique potentials, outstanding opportunities, competitive advantages, and achieved positive results in many aspects.

In particular, with the characteristics of a mountainous area with many difficulties, the people of Sa De Phin Commune Residential Area have always been united and made efforts; actively raising and cultivating livestock and crops with strengths and high economic value, proactively shifting the agricultural structure to models with higher economic efficiency such as pear trees, vegetables, ancient tea, medicinal herbs, etc.; the total livestock herd has increased by 2.6% compared to the plan assigned at the beginning of the year. Land allocation and forest management are increasingly implemented by the authorities and people of the commune. New rural criteria are given attention and implemented well.

There have been many changes in the cultural and social fields; regular attention and care have been paid to and visits have been paid to families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and martyrs; support has been given to families affected by natural disasters, and houses have been repaired for poor households...; the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved.

The movements "All people protect national security" associated with the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Building communes, units and schools free of drug crimes and drug addicts", and the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" were widely deployed.

Currently, 3/4 villages have achieved cultural village status, 256/350 cultural households (reaching nearly 73.2%), of which 47 households have been recognized for 3 consecutive years, 7 households have achieved the title of Outstanding Cultural Family.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Lai Chau province and residential areas of Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district have achieved, contributing to the overall development of the country.

In the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Party committees, authorities and the Fatherland Front of Lai Chau province in general, Sa De Phin commune, Sin Ho district in particular, to continue to encourage people to strengthen solidarity, effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels; successfully organize the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels towards the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.

The Prime Minister requested the local Party Committee, government and Fatherland Front to urgently, seriously and on schedule deploy investment projects in the area; effectively implement the three National Target Programs on "Socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas", "New rural construction" and "Sustainable poverty reduction"; effectively organize patriotic emulation movements, encourage and motivate advanced models, outstanding collectives and individuals, creating new momentum for emulation; pay attention to practicing and promoting democracy, listening to people's opinions, thoughts and aspirations; propagate and encourage people to continue promoting the identity and precious cultural values ​​of ethnic groups, building a strong great solidarity bloc, and improving the effectiveness of socio-economic development.

Recalling the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho: “Unity, unity, great unity. Success, success, great success,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hoped and believed that the people of Sa De Phin commune would promote the revolutionary tradition, national cultural identity, the spirit of mutual love, mutual support in life; participate in building a healthy, civilized, and increasingly modern living environment; build a strong community in terms of security and order; prevent and combat all kinds of crimes and social evils; be vigilant against the sabotage plots of hostile forces; unite more, be of one mind, unify the Party's will and the people's will, and be determined to strive to build the homeland to become more and more developed, rich, beautiful, and civilized.

The Prime Minister suggested that each family should work hard to improve their lives and maintain happiness; together take care of and raise their children to be obedient, good students, not to violate the law, not to commit social evils; do good deeds, follow the example of good people, become good citizens, and be useful to society.

At the National Great Unity Day of the people of Sa De Phin commune, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha presented Lai Chau province with the book"Promoting the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, civilized and happy"of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Prime Minister also presented funds to the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and people of Sa De Phin commune to build “Great Unity” houses; purchase school equipment for kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and the Education Promotion Fund.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and delegates participated in cultural, artistic, sports and traditional folk games activities with ethnic people in Sa De Phin commune.
