The reason for stopping the operation of Phuong Hung A pumping station is that the current area of the field that this pumping station supplies irrigation water to is only 8.5 hectares in Dong Lo area (Gia Loc town). However, this area has also been planned for a new urban area in the south of Hai Duong city (sub-area 3).

Because the current water supply area is too small and will no longer exist in the future, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has developed a plan to transfer Cau Cong pumping station to Phuong Diem Agricultural Service Cooperative (Gia Loc town) to manage and temporarily supply irrigation water for this area.

Phuong Hung A pumping station was built in 1962 and includes 3 machines (2 machines 1,200 m3/hour and 1 machine 1,000 m3/hour), managed and exploited by the Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., with the initial design irrigation task of 284 hectares.
