If produced on a mass scale, the product "new generation air-conditioned helmet" of the group of students in Chi Linh City will have potential in the market.
A variation of the conventional helmet, the "new generation air-conditioned helmet" by a group of students Dang Hoang Long, Trinh Ngoc Han, Nguyen Trung Thanh Long, Nguyen Diem My, Nguyen Tra My at Chu Van An Primary School, Pha Lai Primary School and Cong Hoa Secondary School (Chi Linh) has just won the consolation prize at the 19th National Youth and Children's Creativity Contest in 2023. The product is assessed to have many new, creative features and potential for development in the market.
The initial idea to implement this model was from Dang Hoang Long, grade 2 at Chu Van An Primary School, the youngest in the group. Long said that one time his mother took him out on a motorbike, it was hot, he was wearing a helmet and sweat was pouring out, very uncomfortable and stuffy. At that moment, he saw a passerby wearing an air-conditioned shirt with a cooling fan. Long suddenly thought, why not put that fan inside the helmet to cool his head. Long shared this idea with his mother, Hoang Thi Nhai, a teacher at Chu Van An Primary School. Nhai thought that her son's idea was very good and could be developed, so she reported it to the school leaders, and at the same time widely promoted it to attract more students to contribute ideas for a more complete helmet. Four more students joined Hoang Long to form a research group and perfect the product under Nhai's guidance.
To make the product have many features, Ms. Nhai let the students be creative. Each student presented an idea, a desire for the product to be created. Thanh Long wanted the product to integrate navigation software, while Diem My wanted the product to have health measurement software... Based on the students' ideas, Ms. Nhai synthesized a system of features, and at the same time planned to find suitable devices.
After 12 days of hard work, the product "new generation air-conditioned helmet" was born. Before wearing the helmet, the user turns on the switches, each switch has a separate function. To check the oxygen concentration and heart rate, turn on the switch on the right side. If there is a lack of oxygen, the heart rate is fast or slow, it will be displayed on the health meter and the user will be warned not to drive. The device on the left has a blue button that will indicate normal body temperature or fever. When the weather is hot, turning on the pink switch will help cool the helmet when wearing. If the user does not pay attention to the road or falls asleep, the helmet will emit a reminder signal to help pay attention to driving...
To complete the product, finding the equipment and installation was difficult. Ms. Nhai said: “Before each idea that the students gave, I had to research the implementation method, installation location and color to avoid confusion and ensure aesthetics. Each device has its own battery, so when it runs out, it can be easily replaced. The hat has an eye-catching appearance, is not bulky, so it is easy to use. The cost of making the hat is not too expensive. If put into large-scale production, it will create a product that brings many benefits to users.”
The “New Generation Air Conditioned Helmet” by a group of students in Chi Linh is a remarkable product, demonstrating the creative passion of the students despite their very young age.
