Saudi Arabia's Al Khabar newspaper reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has initially accepted a contract extension offer from Al-Nassr.

The two sides are now only missing a signature to officially extend the super contract, which has caused a stir in world football and broken all salary records.

According to Al Khabar, along with sources from O Jogo (Portugal), Ronaldo extended his contract with Al-Nassr until June 2026, the time to prepare for the World Cup in North America.

Al-Nassr's salary of 200 million euros remains the same as the current contract, signed from January 2023.

The Portuguese player came to Al-Nassr after the 2022 World Cup, following disputes with MU and Erik ten Hag.

CR7's current contract will expire in June this year. Therefore, Al-Nassr soon plans to renew with the owner of 5 Golden Balls.

According to data released by Al Sharq News, along with information from Bloomberg and Forbes, Cristiano holds the record for the highest paid football player in the world.

In addition to his salary of 200 million euros, Ronaldo also received an additional 60 million in image rights.

With the renewal, Ronaldo continues to hold the number 1 position among the highest-paid players in world football. He earns 3.8 million euros per week and more than half a million euros per day (equivalent to more than 13 billion VND).

During his time at Al-Nassr, CR7 scored 75 goals in 84 matches in all competitions.

Ronaldo has just set a record for scoring in a calendar year for the 24th consecutive year, with a career record of 917 goals for clubs and the Portuguese national team.

“I am happy in Saudi Arabia and my family is happy,” Ronaldo said a few days ago. He also spoke about his long-term goal with Al-Nassr.
